Starting A Business And Living The Life You Imagine

Hi there! Welcome back to my weekly blog. It’s nice to have you back and connecting with me again. How fast has this year gone already!

It’s been quite an eventful first week last week, nonetheless exciting! This week I wanted to give you an update on an event that I took part in over the weekend. It was a startup event here on the Sunshine Coast, that was first launched in America as an international networking group for like minded people all over the world. It helps people connect to others like them that are in the startup phase. This one on the Sunshine Coast saw entrepreneurs take their business ideas from, well, an idea to a complete business plan and proposal ready for launch, all within 54 hours!

I was fortunate enough to be asked to coordinate the coaching staff that helped these bright minds on their 54 hour journey. There were a total of 26 people that pitched their ideas on Friday night, then broke off into teams. There were 11 teams that come together to develop their idea into a complete business proposition by the end of the weekend.

The underlying main goal of the weekend was to produce a minimum viable product. It served as the base line that judges wanted to get started from. Teams had to establish a problem that needed to be solved, then come up with a solution to the problem, all within 12 hours.

For some this was their first journey on a start up, and meeting with the public to find hard evidence to support or counteract their assumptions was a great exercise. This helped them to continue on through the weekend to ask the right questions and gain great clarity from myself and the coaches.

In the conclusion there were 3 winners who came out on top with excellent pitches and really viable plans to take into the marketplace.

The other thing I wanted to share with you this week is the excitement of my website that will be launching in approximately 10 days time! I will be providing lots of valuable content from 30 years of international business experience.

I will share my success and struggles, real life experiences and advice for you to help identify where you are at in your journey, and hopefully learn from my experience. I’ve found that all paths to success will have certain struggles, but my hope is that you can identify them from my experience and see the journey I took to find solutions to those problems.
