Personal Highlights of the Week
Hi All!.............
I was overwhelmed and am extremely grateful to everyone for your responses and support to the questionnaire I posted last week regarding the top two questions to consider when starting up a business. Many of the responses will be included in my forthcoming 'business start-up' book and training progamme soon to be launched.
To thank you for your support I will be providing free training in a series of videos later this week so watch out for my email
As always please share this blog and of course, I I would love to hear your comments
In the meantime here are some of the things I personally enjoyed doing last week.
- Book I am reading…..
AI Super-Powers: - China, Silicon Valley and the New World Order
You will be aware of the rapid change going on in the world at the moment and I believe the world is going to change more over the next 7 years compared to last 150 years, mainly driven by Technology, The Internet and Social Media. One of the biggest developments in technology already impacting this change is AI - Artificial Intelligence
Kai-Fu Lee is one of the world’s most respected experts on AI and his book reveals that China is suddenly catching with the US at an astonishingly rapid and unexpected pace.
In AI Superpowers, Kai-fu Lee argues powerfully that because of these unprecedented developments in AI, dramatic changes will be happening much sooner than many of us expected. Indeed, as the US-Sino AI competition begins to heat up, Lee urges the US and China to both accept and to embrace the great responsibilities that come with significant technological power. Most experts already say that AI will have a devastating impact on blue-collar jobs. But Lee predicts that Chinese and American AI will have a strong impact on white-collar jobs as well. He provides a clear description of which jobs will be affected and how soon, which jobs can be enhanced with AI, and most importantly, how we can provide solutions to some of the most profound changes in human history that are coming soon.

- Music I am Listening to……
Júníus Meyvant
Júníus Meyvant is the artist name of singer-songwriter Unnar Gísli Sigurmundsson from Iceland. As a young boy he was an eccentric to a small degree and he only loved two things, skateboarding and painting. Every now and then he asked the Muses if he should learn to play an instrument but his wild and free behavior terminated his dreams as he was quickly suspended out of music school. All through his teens he rambled on without even considering becoming a musician or even playing any instrument.
Floating Harmonies was his most recent release in 2016 with new material due for release early next year

- Wine that surprised me
Lazy Lab Cabernet Sauvignon Horse Heaven Hills Washington 2016
Here’s a big, bold Cabernet that will complement a wide variety of flavorful foods.
The reputation and quality of Washington State wines have really soared in the last ten or so years…and for good reason. The wine growing regions in the south and southeast of the state are very dry, so the grapes have to “struggle” to ripen.
Having done some research it seems that major producers are crafting excellent wines from Horse Heaven Hills, as well as several other appellations in that part of the state. There’s Rattlesnake Hills, the Wahluke Slope, and Walla Walla – the place so nice they named it twice.
This offering is very “true to type,” which means it offers all the flavors and aromas expected from a great Cabernet. The color is almost black in the glass, so anticipate a dense, full mouthfeel and concentrated flavors. You’ll enjoy the dense, concentrated flavors of black fruit (especially plum) along with jammy blackberry. I tried the wine with grilled steak and Gorgonzola walnut butter. Walnuts contain tannins which complement the structure of the wine. And the saltiness of the cheese softens and rounds out the overall structure.
