Why Olympic Athletes Have Coaches

Have you ever wondered what it is that makes an Olympic athlete successful? Is it a skill set? Is it talent, dedication, or maybe hard work?

Last week, I had the privilege of spending some time with some Olympic swimmers. And the number one reason they told me that they're successful is because they've got a coach. In fact, for many of them, they've got more than one coach.

Today, I want to share with you the three reasons why people come to me to get coaching help to be able to create an online business.

Tip number one, people come to me because they want to know what the map is, they want to know how it is they can get from where they are usually stuck in a nine to five job or maybe a business they own trading their time for money, and how it is they want to create more time and financial freedom by having an online business. For the last four years, I've been helping over 100 people create online businesses, including my own business, which started back in 2017. So I know the map, I know what the path is. And that's what people come to me to look for, they need to have the path they need to know what the map is, and how it is they can get to where they're trying to get to.

Number two, we all want accountability. We all want to know what the action steps are, and what it is we need to do to be able to take them because so so many times life gets in the way. And we all need that inbuilt accountability, we all need that help, we all need that support, we all need that person in the corner who's cheering us on, and who at the same time is giving us accountability to do what we say we will do.

And tip number three, if you want to get to the next level, it can be really scary. People come to me and they say, I've read these books, I've looked at these online courses. But I'm really scared to make this investment. I always say to them, is it about you want to pay money to somebody? Or is it you wanting to invest in yourself? Because people get so caught up in the whole issue around money, when the reality of it is when you get a coach, you're investing in yourself. And that's why it's so important. And for people that can be really scary. But what's the alternative? You stay where you are and you don't move forward? Or you try to do like I did my first year in my online business. You try and work it out all by yourself. I spent over 2000 hours trying to figure out the technology. How do you attract traffic? How do you write a coaching curriculum? How do you create an online business? It was only after the first year I decided to get myself a coach and that coach did more work for me in three weeks than in the whole year. But I tried to work it all out myself.

So if you're serious about getting to the next level, make sure you get a coach who can give you accountability. It will give you the map and it will also give you that ability to believe in yourself because at the end of the day you are investing yourself when you get a coach.
